ustoms' supervision and control, or smuggled right-
infringing goods into or out of the country shall be dealt with by the
Customs in accordance with stipulations in the Implementing Rules of the
Customs Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative
Penalties.
6. Disputes between proprietors of intellectual property rights on the
one hand and consigners and consignees of import and export goods on the
other about the infringement of rights and payment of damages shall be
settled through the court, an arbitration agency or other channels as
opted for by the parties concerned in accordance with the pertinent
provisions of law. The Customs shall not take cognizance of such
disputes.
7. This announcement comes into effect on September 15, 1994.
