THE STATE COUNCIL'S OFFICIAL REPLY CONCERNING THE RENAMING OF THE
MARITIME ARBITRATION COMMISSION AS THE CHINA MARITIME ARBITRATION
COMMISSION AND THE AMENDMENT OF ITS ARBITRATION RULES
(Issued by the State Council of China on June 21, 1988)
@@ The State Council approves the renaming of the Maritime
Arbitration Commission of China Council for the Promotion of
International Trade as the China Maritime Arbitration Commission.
The existing relationship of its subordination remains unchanged.
@@ The Arbitration Rules of the China Maritime Arbitration
Commission shall be amended by the Council in accordance with
China's laws and the international treaties concluded or acceded to
by China and with reference to international practice, and then
promulgated for implementation after adoption by the Council.
Hereafter, any amendments to the Arbitration Rules shall be made by the
Council's own decision.
